Minna Pöllänen
(b. 1980, Finland) is a visual artist living and working in the UK. Pöllänen’s installation-based practice weaves together various media including sculpture, textile, photography, and drawing. Her work investigates the relationship between the body, tactility, and Western capitalism. Through interactive and site-specific installations, she invites individuals linger with art objects.
Minna Pöllänen is a PHD candidate at Royal College of Art in London and a senior lecturer in Photography at UCA Farnham. She has recently exhibited at The Bronx Museum of Arts (New York), Gallery Hanaholmen (Helsinki), Southwark Park Galleries (London), Queens Museum (New York), and Galerie Project Pangée (Montreal).
